I have a great opportunity for an experienced early years practitioner to work in fantastic academy primary school. This is a 1:1 SEN position working with an Autistic boy in the morning and an Autistic girl in the afternoon, both based in the nursery class of the school. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with ASD children as well as other SEN. Experience of following and completing IEPs and following PECS will be an advantage. You will be confident, calm, and patient and have excellent behaviour management and intervention skills. I will also consider candidates who have little experience of SEN but have a keen interest in this area and would like to be given the opportunity to work in this type of role. TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLES AVALIBLE IN SOUTH BIRMINGHAM Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant role available in Moseley Hays Education are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant to join a fantastic mainstream primary school in the Moseley area. The role is to provide one to one support with a KS2 pupil who has Autism. The school are looking for qualified teaching assistants for this role who have previous experience working with children with special educational needs. The Teaching Assistant must be able to work alongside the teacher to plan and complete activities that benefit the child’s behaviour, learning and care appropriately. The child’s progress must also be monitored and consequentially assessed with the teacher on a regular basis. Any candidates with previous experience creating and implementing Individual Educational Plans and Individual Behaviour Plans are highly desired for this role. Previous experience working in a childcare setting and a Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or equivalent) are essential for any candidates interested in applying to this position.
