HR Advisor
Our key social housing client is looking to attract an experienced and suitably qualified HR professional to join them on a permanent basis. You will work as a key business partner to provide a pragmatic, accurate and comprehensive day-to-day human resource and organisational development service. Qualified to CIPD Level 7 Advanced with a minimum of 2 years advisory experience, you must be able to demonstrate a strong track record in the field of HR and OD. Your main duties in this key role will include the following:Provide advice, guidance, support and coaching for managers on policy, procedure, terms and conditions and support the delivery and development of more formal training sessions .Create and deliver bespoke training events based on learning needs analysis and needs of the business Ensure that HR policies are implemented on a consistent basis and identify changes that may be required.Coach, support, mentor and challenge managers in the application of HR policies and practices, and provide advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimise corporate risk and financial exposure. Use workforce intelligence to identify people management requirements and performance issues and establish credibility as an expert in strategic HR within an operational service. Investigate, and advise on proposals made by managers for amendments to authorised establishments, including changes to organisation structures, grading, rates of pay and allowances.Promote recruitment best practice and best fit within the organisation to embed talent management strategies with the assistance of the Organisational Development ManagerWork in partnerships with managers in the development and maintenance of good working relationships with Trade Unions Partners and lead on JCC Support the Senior HR Advisor & Head of HR in delivery of the Organisational Development Service Plan, budget and corporate planning for supported business areas.Oversee the recruitment and selection process ensuring that the policy is followed and necessary documentation and agreed deadlines are met, applying psychometric testing when appropriate.Promote good practice in all aspects of equality and diversity through own actions and advice to others.Promote full attendance of employees via advice to managers on all aspects of the Sickness Absence Policy and counselling of employees and attending progress meetings with employees. You will head up the day to day management of the HR function leading an HR Team of 5 staff, covering all aspects of HR from absence and performance management, health and well being, recruitment and retention, employee relations, reward and recognition to learning and development. Building internal and external relationships with colleagues at all levels and establishing your credibility is also important. A key focus of the role will be managing the post-implementation phase of their new HR System, absence and performance management, and policy development linked to their Policy Framework. HR Advisor
Our client is a leading RSL who are looking to recruit a HR Advisor for an initial 9- 10 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The main purpose of the role is to work with the HR business partners and line managers to provide HR advice and support of day to day activity to all business areas. You will also be required to oversee absence management, wellbeing and disciplinary & grievance investigations.
