HR Manager Halifax Permanent £30,000-£32,000 per annum Eden Brown are working in partnership with Community Transport who are recruiting for a HR Manager. This exciting position is a newly created role within the Senior Management Team of Community Transport. Community Transport is a voluntary sector organisation with 10 sites providing accessible transport, training services and pre-owned furniture at affordable prices locally. The role will be based in Halifax but would involve occasional travel to different sites. As HR manager you will be responsible for HR Management and payroll and support the implementation of communication of health and safety across the organisation. The role through supervision of direct reports, will include responsibility for administration and record-keeping. Duties to include;Leading and developing an effective HR function, advising on future staffing needs, reviewing and proposing policy, maintaining legislative compliance and leading on internal communication; Coordinate Health and Safety record keeping and work with the Health and Safety appointed person to ensure consideration in all systems, process and procedures and coordination of Health and Safety training. Ensuring ICT facilities are maintained and reflect the needs of the organisation; Develop and maintain a high level of HR management advice and support for operational and senior managers. Ensure proper management of payroll system and records and that there are sufficient resources to enable monthly payroll payments to be made in a timely and accurate way. To be considered for the role you will have the following skills and experience; Experience of leading and managing team within a HR function Recognised HR qualification Health and Safety Qualification is desirable but not essential. Excellent IT skills Experience of managing payroll and managing administrative functions.Candidates must have experience to develop, write, review and implement policy guidance and the ability to maintain current and relevant knowledge base in legislation and compliance of a third sector employer.
