We are looking to recruit an experienced Outreach Worker, to work in the community with adults with mild Learning Difficulties. We are looking for someone immediately available, to support adults with general day to day living in their own homes. This will include, prompting personal care, cleaning & organisation. Assisting with correspondence, shopping in the community and other community activities. We are looking for people that have a real passion for helping people reach their maximum Independence, that are caring, have empathy and are patient. The role is on a full time basis, in a temporary contract and candidates must be confident in travelling to different locations, going to different address on a schedule and using a satnav. The role of the outreach worker will involve: New birth visits Visiting local clinics to register new families Pre and postnatal advice The ideal candidate will have experience in outreach or children/family support. Being a driver would be advantageous The centre is looking for someone to start ASAP with the contract lasting till the end of March with the strong possibility of extension.
